Abstract

In today's era of rapid development, it is important to focus on energy efficiency and sustainability to achieve good environmental management. An important aspect is energy consumption in real estate maintenance. The purpose of this study is to optimize energy use in building maintenance in Kampung Naga Tasikmalaya by considering time. This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach. Data collection was done through observation and documentary research. Data analysis used content analysis techniques to identify current energy use patterns and potential improvements. The study results show that Kampung Naga faces challenges in managing energy consumption in building maintenance over time. Factors such as lifestyle changes, technological developments, and changing population needs have contributed to inefficient energy use. Examples of problems observed are the inefficient use of lighting, the use of energy-efficient electrical appliances and poor building maintenance that affect thermal efficiency. This study aims to provide insights and guidance to the local government and other stakeholders on how to optimize energy use in property maintenance. By implementing the recommended actions, Kampung Naga can achieve better energy efficiency, reduce environmental impacts and improve overall environmental sustainability.
