ANALYSIS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUSTAINABLE DESIGN DEVELOPMENT AT JOKOPI COFFEE SHOP MERR SURABAYA

Indonesia, as one of the largest coffee-producing countries in the world, has experienced significant development in the coffee shop sector, including Jokopi MERR Surabaya. Jokopi was built with a drive-thru concept as a design response during the pandemic, creating a resilient space for customers and preparing for potential future outbreaks. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the points related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Jokopi MERR coffee shop. The study utilizes a qualitative approach, focusing on a case study of Jokopi coffee shop located in Surabaya. Data is collected through observations, literature reviews, and analysis of relevant documents regarding implemented sustainability practices. By analyzing the SDG points in Jokopi Surabaya, there is potential to advance the coffee industry in Indonesia sustainably, focusing not only on economic aspects but also on positive impacts on the environment and the surrounding community. The objective of this research is to identify the SDG points in Jokopi MERR, providing an understanding of sustainability practices in coffee shops and their impacts on the environment and society. The findings can serve as a guideline for coffee shop owners to promote better sustainability practices in the coffee industry in Indonesia in the future.
